Tofu Tuesday: Sleeping in the afternoon sun

Tofu truly does not act like a prey animal. Here he is fast asleep in the middle of the lawn in a bright patch of sunlight. Like a lion, king of his domain.

I love watching Tofu dream. He forms a round ball with his body and his whiskers flicker and twitch. I wonder what he is dreaming about?

  1. We think that Tofu is literally the most adorable rabbit in the entire world ever. Thankyou for keeping us updated on his antics!

  2. Oh my goodness that bunny is ADORABLE. Our Dustie used to sleep in my arms on her back and as she dreamt her little feet punched and paddled. I wondered what she was running away from. Other times she would just munch with her mouth often licking her lips probably dreaming of the most delicious salad!

  3. Ah, bunnies dreams are the cutest. Izzy sometimes looks like she’s mumbling to herself as she twitches her mouth when she naps. So adorable!

Awww he’s lovely! We recently rescued a bunny we call Zelda who looks just like Tofu! (Same colour, markings, loppy ears, fluffiness and endearing, sort of grumpy expression). Zelda hates natural food, though, she just won’t eat leaves or greens! We despair of her… but the vet’s not too bothered, if Zellie wants to scoff on processed pet food in her twilight years she’s welcome to! (She eats plenty of hay) Our plants are safe…finally. The last bunny we adopted completely ravaged the rockery, we’ve got a lovely photo of her looking guilty by a patch of recently deceased parsley.
    I love Tofu’s blog, he’s adorable!! 🙂

    • Hi Rina, lovely to hear from you and Zelda.

Endearing grumpy expression sums it up quite nicely.

Tofu loves fresh food most, then pellets and very last if there is nothing better to eat, he will eat hay. It wasn’t always this way, he used to love pellets the most but ever since we switched to the healthy kind of pellets, he’s not as crazy for them.

Tofu never looks guilty. Even if he’s destroyed something. His expression is an indignant “So what?”
