With some leftover steak and orzo, it made sense to combine the two.
Served with some smokey chicken kranskys and a creamy, mustardy potato, egg and gherkin salad.
An easier than pie, weekday dinner.

I have never heard of kranskys what are they?
I just nominated you for an award on my latest post.
Thanks for the award Eva! That’s so cool!
I just had a quick look and Kransky is just short for “Kranjska klobasa”. Never heard of them either? I’m not surprised. It’s a smoked sausage, often with cheese inside. They’re really yummy, if you like sausages, you should give these ones a whirl.
How on earth did this sausage make its way to NZ?
Wiki:
“Kranjska klobasa is known as Kransky in Australia, to where it was introduced by post-war immigrants from Slovenia in the late 1940s and 1950s. The Kransky is very popular in Australia and New Zealand.”
