Monday Bunday: Bunny clutch bags

Warmer weather means I go out more and what better way to celebrate the warmer days and nights of spring that with a cute bunny design clutch bag? Here is a round up of some of my favourites from around the interwebs. There are a lot of tacky, sparkely ones out there which I turn my nose up at. Not surprisingly, Etsy.com seems to have a ton of cute-not-tacky bunny clutch bags. Enchanted Rabbit Clutch by J Carter Handmade on Etsy. A rabbit clutch by Made By Hank on Etsy. The Garden Path Rabbit Clutch by Peep Accessories. Hot Pink Linen Bunny Clutch Purse by Eva Katharina on Etsy. Champagne Pink Clutch Purse with Cottontail Rabbit by Sir Tom on Etsy. Maroon Rabbit Print Clutch Purse by Vashte on Etsy. Silk Lined Black and White Forest Silhouette Kisslock Frame Clutch by BrianaEdelmanDesigns on Etsy.

Monday Bunday: Rabbit Teapots

I have a thing for teapots. I love the decorative, uniqueness about them and how they actually serve a purpose. I’m not a collector though as I only have 1 teapot and it doesn’t even have a rabbit on it. If I were looking to expend my collection, I might consider these… 1. Tea for Two by Shinzi Katoh. 2. Bunny Teapot by Clay Nest Pottery. 3. Bunny Teapot by Abby Berkson Ceramics. 4. Bone China Rabbit Teapot from Have You Met Miss Jones. 5. Rabbit Teapot by Christy Crews Dunn. 5.  Ayumi Horie‘s rabbit teapots

Monday Bunday: Top 5 Bunny Banks

I couldn’t stop at showing you just one bunny bank.  I know Tofu the bunny isn’t good with money, but perhaps if you look at a rabbit as a symbol of exponential growth, then bunny banks are a positive way to save. Top 5 bunny banks from the interwebs: 5. Bunny Money Bank R217 ($31.50US / $38NZ) from Egg Junior. 4. Lucky Forest Bunny Money Bank $18 from Liapela. 3. Two’s Company Bunny Bank $5.25 from Tender Treasures. 2. Rabbit Money Bank £14 from Oliver Bonas. And the winner goes to: 1. Grass Flocked Rabbit Bank $22 from Greener Grass Design.

Monday Bunday: Father Rabbit

This logo exudes class and tradition with a touch of whimsy by the looped ascenders, suggesting lagomorph ears. Did you like my typography design geek speak? Too much? Yeah, maybe… Father Rabbit is an online shop run by Nick and Claudia out of their Grey Lynn villa. This is a store for the discerning rabbit friendly home. They stock a good mix of overseas and also local designers like Bunnyinabirdsuit (Auckland), Bianca Lorenne (New Plymouth), Workroom Design (Auckland) Being an online shop, it really doesn’t matter that they were just a few suburbs over from me, but it’s nice to see and appreciate the aesthetic of locals. I want just about everything from their shop for our villa. These gift sets give you a good idea of the items they stock. Some other pretty pics from their gallery… They even have a fledging recipe section. And of course I love the Belle & Boo cushion they have. It’s double sided! Lots of lagomorphs on the back. Swoon. http://www.fatherrabbit.com

Monday Bunday: Rabbit shotglass

This chic rabbit shotglass by Goody Grams balances on it’s head and ears or can be placed upside down (or is that right side up?) when not in use. The head is made of pewter and has a ceramic glass. This, a white version, and other animal designs including bear, ram, rhino and bull are available for purchase  from Yanko for $28 a piece.

Monday Bunday: Paul Shih’s JB

Paul Shih is one of my favourite local artists with a cute badass style that transcends borders. His contribution to the world of bunny toys is bunny rocker JB. Isn’t she bad ass? JB was available for $50 but with limited edition of 20, this sold out. I’m also completely in love with is Maori Warrior toy but with limited edition of 20, it also sold out ages ago. Paul just released a limited edition of new design Maori Warrior t-shirts the other day so I was all over it like a rabbit on a hot cross bun.
