Upon researching “blind rabbit care” last week, I stumbled across some gorgeous burger porn from Jacksonville, Florida.
A project by brothers Jeff and John Stanford, who started off with a food truck and then moved onto two brick and mortar locations in Jacksonville. The Blind Rabbit serves sophisticated man-food and specialise in burgers and whiskey. They offer over 100 whiskeys and 26 types of moonshine.
My husband The Koala, a typical red-blooded, meat eating, whiskey-swilling male would be right at home here and with the Southern-Cajun/Creole influenced menu, I’d be a lining up too.

I’m usually drawn to food photos with plenty of light, but these dramatically dark shots remind me both of old Dutch masters still life oil paintings don’t you think? There is something awesomely sinful about them.
Thankfully, they don’t serve rabbit here, but they do have an dish called The Rabbit Salad – Mixed Greens, Carrots, Radishes, Celery, Cucumbers, Purple Cabbage, Goat Cheese, Citrus Vinaigrette.
And they have a cocktail called Drunken Rabbit – The Blind Rabbit Signature Barrel #250 Jefferson’s Small Batch Bourbon, Aperol, Orange, Raspberries, Mint.
The Maple Bacon Milkshake with Vanilla Ice Cream, Candied Applewood Smoked Bacon, Grade A Maple Syrup, Caramel Sauce, Candied Pecans and Spiked with Bacon Infused Buffalo Trace Bourbon also caught my eye (not pictured).
