This gig poster for band Now The Rabbit Has The Gun features um…a rabbit with a gun. It might not be the most original concept for the band name but it’s soaked in history.
With Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd scenes in the background, this character also gives a cheeky wink to the “Golden Age” of American animation. A time where cartoons like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Donald, Daffy, Popeye and Tom & Jerry took the world by storm.
This poster was designed by LA based designer/illustrator Ivan Minsloff. Ivan’s work covers magazine covers, skate, apparel, gig posters with pop culture and history intertwined. Some of his clients include: LA Weekly, Queens Of The Stone Age, Ryan Adams, OK Go!, NOFX.
This poster isn’t the only rabbit post he’s done but this other one for Gram Rabbit/ Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros/Crooked Cowboy & Freshwater Indian is a little disturbing and I didn’t want to re-post it on here. Click here if you are daring.
You can check out this poster and more of Ivan’s other works on his Cargo Collective portfolio here or his HUGE archive over at GigPosters.com here. Cool stuff.
