#NZbloggers are hosting a weekly blog post challenge. This week’s theme is Contrast and you can check out other posts on this theme here.
I have to admit, I’m a sucker for a striking black and white kitchen. I love the contrast, especially how it pops with accents of gold or greenery.
Living in a rental, I’m blessed with a brown, beige and taupe kitchen with a utilitarian steel bench (oh how dreamy!). I dream of the day when I can have black and white kitchen with gold or brass tapware and bright green plants.
Until then, here’s a round up of some rather lovely monochromatic things for the kitchen from New Zealand retailers and manufacturers.

Swoon
I’ll leave you with a few swoon-worthy high contrast kitchens I’ve spied on Pinterest. Click images for direct link to designer’s websites.
This entire post is basically my dream black and white kitchen (I have many styles of kitchens I want – I think my dream house needs to have three different styled ones to be honest haha).
My favourite pieces are definitely the Collected Noodle Bowl, Reneé Boyd vase, and a set of those Red Current cheese knives 🙂
Well, if we’re dreaming, we might as well each have several houses, each one in a different city 😀
Love that tea towel and the geometric basket! Lucky you with your kitchen, the place I’m moving into soon has a really well equipped kitchen (yay) but the cabinetry is all this really odd green colour – I’m looking forward to accessorising it but that colour is going to take some getting used to!
OMFG those kitchens! I am in love. I can’t wait to get a bigger house, I have so many grand reno plans haha
Those Le Sac en papier are so cute!! I need those!! Plus those kitchens look super amazing. You have almost converted me to wanting a black and white kitchen.
