The sweet and talented Cass from the blog FoodmyFriend recently awarded this blog with a Versatile Blogger Award. She lives just over in Sydney, Australia and it’s nice to read her blog because it’s always the correct season for me. She has a lop earred princess called Flatpac and any friend of the lop is a friend of mine.
When given this award, bloggers are asked to do three things – link back to the blog that gave them the award, list seven things about themselves and finally, give the award to five others.
7 Things About Me
- I’ve only ever kept bunnies as pets and have outlived 6 bunnies.
- When I was a kid I wanted to be an architect.
- In my last year of high school, I was awarded a scholarship to study anything at a local university. I picked graphic design.
- I folded 1000 paper cranes for our wedding day.
- I can’t drive.
- It takes me 12 minutes to walk to and from work.
- I’ve visited 10 countries in the last 10 years.
Since Cass wrote a little about why she loves her nominated bloggers, I’m going to as well.
Three Tall Poppies is a brand new blog by Rhiannon of the former blog Pierced Beauty. I love her new blog because it is brimming with positive and inspiring thoughts for creatives. Three Tall Poppies is great for days when you know should be doing something but don’t know where to start.
Mel from Treehouse Kitchens has quite a way with words. Her posts are always thoughtful and well written and one day she is going to write a book and I’m going to buy it and fall in love with it. But alas, I just found out that she is saying goodbye to her blog. While this makes me a little sad, I won’t hold her ransom.
Allison from Pease Pudding is not your average home cook, she does what she loves for a living through her cooking classes. There should be more people doing what they love. Her food photos are gorgeous and inspire me to take more care at food styling and photography. Is it possible to have lighting envy?
Condiments on a City Life is written by Hayley is a freelance writer who used to live in Auckland, but then got hitched and moved to New York with the love of her life. How romantic! Hayley blogs about about delicious treats and pretty dresses.
Nessie from Baking = Love like me, has lived in both Auckland and Hong Kong. I like reading about her kiwi/Cantonese point of view. Nessie now resides in Dunedin where she bakes exquisite works of art like her own wedding cake. Her blog is both poignant and lovely.
Congratulations on this lovely award, Genie! How cool that you’ve found another blogger who has a lop bunny-child! I’m going to check out her blog pronto!
I’m back! You deserve this award very much Genie 🙂
Dear Genie, thank you for your sweet words – you really made me smile 🙂
I would like to write a book. And I will be sure to let you know if I do…!
Still love reading your posts. Hope to see you again! M
Don’t give up your dreams! Hope to see you again too Mel. Perhaps a dumpling party over winter?
🙂 YES I’d be up for that!
