Tomorrow is Bastille Day and like any Francophile, I’m going to be celebrating by eating something French and listening to French music. It just so happens that French Onion Soup is on my bucket list this winter so that might be the ticket.
What French things do you think you’ll get up to tomorrow?
Oops, I was at a French restaurant last night, and I had steak tartare. I always wear a French Manicure on my nails and my toes! And my coffee will be a French Roast. Happy Bastille Day Genie.
Happy Bastille Day to you too Eva!
I had french press coffee this morning 🙂 Steak tartare is good! Not popular in general, but when done right. Mmmmm… I love the look of a french manicure but have never had it done. I bet they look elegant and classy Eva.
I love the French manicure and pedicure because I need not worry about clashing colours!
Mmmmm, French press coffee; but be careful, as it contains the most caffeine of all the coffees! Apparently when coffee sits in water, the water molecules pick up more caffeine than when it’s steam going through espresso!
I never knew. No wonder I was so efficient yesterday! Even on a sick day.
I will be writing my dissertation in French literature! And when it is done, I want to eat only non-French food for a YEAR!
French food is great, but I have been staring at this thing for so many years that I need a break!
Bonne fête!!!!
Happy Bastille Day BaconBiscuit. Fair enough on the French-free year. Surely french fries are not included?
Freedom fries 😉
French fries be fightin’ words in this country 😉
Happy Bastille Day! Vive la France!
Lol. Ok Freedom Fries!
My toddler’s French music CD. He loves hearing the “Bonjour” song when he wakes up!
That’s very cute Oster’s Mom. I have a few French songs I love. I’m not sure what they are about, but I like guessing.
I’m going to a Bastille Day festival near where I live. I just hope the weather will be good. 😀
That sound lovely Marnelli. Have fun!
Had a lovely morning @ Pine Harbour Fresh Market, practicing my now terribly rusty beginners’ French with the crepe lady. Dinner was linguine with a chicken liver & brandy sauce… maybe not so French but delicious anyway (Dad cooked too, bonus). Happy Bastille Day!
Mmmm…crepes sound delicious. I must visit a market soon. It’s been too long. I was thinking of having French toast for breakfast but since my husband was cooking, I let him cook whatever he wanted, so no French toast for us. We did have French Onion Soup though.
I missed it! I WOULD have eaten a yummy crossiant with strawberry and vanilla bean jam. Yum!!
Mmmm…I adore croissants!
