The Honesty Box has been feeding us each week and while I haven’t been keeping up with my documenting of each box due to the crappy evening light, I had to just quickly show you this glorious mushroom that was delivered in yesterday’s box.
This monster is a whopping 16cm wide (over 6 inches).
I don’t know what I’m going to do with it but I’m adamant that I want to serve it whole because it feels like a shame to slice it up.
We actually have 2 mushrooms so The Koala and I can have one each.
What would you do with it?

Yes, I definitely think that cheese of some kind will need to be factored into this 🙂
We get Honesty Box delivered to the office every Monday morning. Love those guys! Fruit is always excellent too 🙂 Try grilling those mushrooms with pesto and sprinkle with grated cheese when almost ready.
That is huge! You could make a burger out of that haha!

Wow. That is one ridiculously big mushroom!! I would definitely stuff it also… with pesto, breadcrumbs and feta. My favourite (I’ve served a similar sized one for dinner with accompanying salad, hah!) x
Wow that is well and truly a big mushroom! Fill it with an egg (or two!) + pesto 🙂 I made some yummy stuffed mushrooms once with feta cheese and mashed pumpkin too.
Cheese is a must – on top of some very slow cooked onions…
bbq it with brie or camembert cheese…. it’s a must!
