Everything you need to know about Graze and Feast

Auckland has a new food event called Graze and Feast.

Graze and Feast will be held every Friday in July from 5pm at Shed 10 on Queen’s Wharf. Opening night is Friday 3 July. Entry is free and dishes range from $5 to $14. There will be plenty of food trucks and vendors to choose from.

I freakin’ LOVE that there are so many other Aucklanders this keen on food events in Auckland. The hype is very real. My friend Miss A pointed me to the event page which I followed with interest. Within 24 hours of posting there were almost 10,000 Aucklanders interested in attending the event.

At last count, with well over 16,000 interested in the event, we can be confident that events like these can continue to flourish in our city.

Graze and Feast quick facts:

  • Every Friday during the month of July. Edit : canceled after 2 events
  • From 5pm at Shed 10 on Queen’s Wharf
  • Free entry opening night. $5 subsequent nights.
  • Seating for 400+
  • Aims to be a zero waste food event
  • Wine from Yealands
  • Craft beers from Garage Project
  • Ciders from Zeffer
  • Is not affiliated with Eat Street Brisbane or Street Eats
  • All typical street foods represented
  • Paleo, vegetarian, vegan, grain free and gluten free options
  • Live performances from Soul Sonido plus DJs
  • After initially branded as Eat Street, this was very similar to the annual Street Eats so the name was quickly changed to Graze and Feast to avoid confusion.

I managed to pick the brains behind Graze and Feast.

Antoinette Shewring is the owner and event organiser. A well traveled foodie who has lived in Melbourne, Sydney and London and now Auckland. Deciding to combine all the things she have loved on her travels and make it into an Auckland event. Street food, food trucks, craft beer, wines, ciders, great music and a social gathering. The perfect day.

Quick questions with Antoinette Shewring:

What is the most delicious thing you’ve eaten this week?
Cream donut at Mustard Kitchen.

Favourite restaurant?
Ciccio in Yountville, California, US.

There’s a potluck dinner tomorrow night (and you’re not working) what are you bringing?
Chicken casserole.

What is your most memorable meal?
The meal we had at The Runner in Brooklyn, New York. Just the atmosphere in Brooklyn and the food. Can’t ever forget it. The Tartes Flambe, Lamb leg with mint pistachio, Asparagus with mushroom, cheese and aioli!

A big thank you to Antoinette for humouring my questions when I’m sure she has a to do list a mile long!

    • So many food events coming up over winter. Auckland is going to be a chubby place to be 😀 If you’re in walking distance, you could even have first dinner, and then second dinner 😀

  1. Oh awesome post, I had confused this with street eats when I saw the original name. So nice to know that it is a separate event. I’m definitely going to be heading down 🙂

  2. I’m so looking forward to this… Not sure if I can brave opening night though- I just know the lines will be long. Maybe next week once they have settled in!
