My sister got me this set of kitchen scales for Christmas. Of course, the first thing we weighed was this little dude. Tofu’s diet hasn’t resulted in any weight loss, in fact, at 2.6kg he’s gained 100 grams since he was last weighed. Still, his diet was for better health rather than weight loss so it’s not a complete loss. He hasn’t required a bath since his diet started so that is a very, very good thing. A new year often brings eating related resolutions, but being healthy should always outweigh weight loss. Wishing you all a happy new year and enjoyment of the good life.
Merry Christmas everyone. From the heart of Bunny Eats Design, wishing you delicious and happy times.
I’m loving these adorable rabbit shaped paper clips. $12.50AU for a box of 30 from Monster Threads.
Our feijoa tree is in flower and the flowers and leaves look very much like pohutukawa which is considered to be our native Christmas tree. Tofu the bunny loves feijoas and he also loves these leaves and flowers. Getting him to pose for these photos without gobbling them up was no small accomplishment.
If you’re on a computer 12 hours a day like me, you might want a bunny wrist rest to help out those wrists of yours. This one by SockMakeover on Etsy.com is just $19.95USD. Also available in doggies, kitties, ferrets and sea otters.
That is all.

This poster for new movie Seven Psychopaths features the gravelly Tom Waits with a blue eyed white rabbit. I particularly like the catchphrase “The one with the bunny” which I assume refers to his character rather than the movie. I love Tom Wait’s voice and his song “Misery Is The River Of The World” always has me picturing a lip synching Cookie Monster. Below are some screenshots of Tom Waits and various bunnies. I haven’t seen the movie yet but hopefully the storyline doesn’t feature any ill will to the his bunnies. With a title referring to not one but seven psychopaths, it’s not looking hopeful. http://www.sevenpsychopaths.com
Tofu was feeling particularly festive this week so I followed him around the garden wearing his party hat. I’m sure he said (through a series of nose twitches) that grass tastes better when you’re wearing a sweet hat.

IÂ haven’t painted in a long time so it was nice to start and finish this painting on Saturday. It’s a friend’s baby shower next week and this will be my gift to her and the baby. Good old oil on canvas. I hope it dries in time!
Tofu with a pink parasol. Scattered around our house are souvenirs from our beach wedding. We had paper cranes, fabric flowers, parasols, ribbons and paper lanterns. Click here to see more Tofu Tuesday.
The Koala caught Tofu the bunny on camera having a flop in the late afternoon. Posted with permission 🙂 We love when Tofu flops over like this. It’s the ultimate look of a relaxed bunny.
When a new person comes to visit, we notice them noticing our rabbit running loose indoors. We are accustomed to seeing a rabbit around the house. Tofu isn’t a prop, he’s a legitimate member of the household. Still, I always get a kick out of seeing other rabbits in other indoor settings. Especially beautifully styled homes or hanging out on beautiful furniture. When you have a beautifully designed room or piece of furniture, you need two other things. A rabbit and a talented photographer. For your viewing pleasure, I have collected these images from around the world, relating to bunnies with beautiful interiors or architecture. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have. A few years ago, I roped my friend A and my sister and her boyfriend into doing an upholstery class with me. This the chair I re-upolstered, sanded and stained. I have yet to sew the buttons  on and the fabric panel on the back requires attaching but it looks legit from the front so I don’t think about it. Tofu judges my handiwork.
I consider myself decent at origami. For our wedding, I folded 1000 paper cranes for good luck. But my skill is nowhere near Tomohiro Tachi’s creations. This origami rabbit is incredible. I can’t even begin to imagine how many folds this would take. You can view more of Tomohiro Tachi’s work here:Â www.tsg.ne.jp/TT/origami/index.html
I got new glasses a few weeks ago. I splurged a little, I don’t regret it one bit. These new specs have bigger lenses and thinner arms meaning that I can see heaps more than before. They’re also very comfortable. I donned my old glasses to snap this photo and was struck by how uncomfortable my previous pair were. Tofu also approves.
We lovingly call our lounge The Cave or The Batcave not because of the lack of windows, but because the huge windows face south. In the southern hemisphere, south facing windows keep rooms dark all year round. Here is Tofu hanging out under the windows. Kind of gloomy and pensive don’t you think?
