Tofu Tuesday: Tiny Carrot

I made dinner for my parents in the weekend and they sent us home with a bunch of goodies like a bottle of wine, home made bread and home made pate plus 3 tiny carrots for Tofu. So spoilt! Immediately after this photo was taken, Tofu took the carrot between his front teeth and proceeded to frantically run around the room with it in order find the perfect dining spot.

Tofu Tuesday: Hutch mod

We have taken the top off Tofu’s hutch and lined the base with hay. It is easy for him to get in/out now and encourages good hay eating habits. At first he didn’t know how to get in and out because we had removed the door. But once he realised there were no walls and got used to it, he liked it very much. He jumps in and out from every conceivable edge. We don’t have anywhere to lock him up now. So when we want to vacuum*, Tofu gets some backyard play time. Thank you for all the good mojo sent to Tofu since his illness last week. Yesterday we went back to the vet for a scheduled check up to make sure all the meds are on track. They have kept him overnight so that he can get another eye flush today, but we’re feeling good that the bladder sludge has been cleared. We will be picking Tofu up tonight but feeling good this time, though his treatment will not be urgent, hope …

Monday Bunday: Molang

Happy National Potato Day! 19 August is National Potato Day and while “national” refers to USA, the internet makes the world such a small place. Potatoes are tasty, versatile and good for you. Not a week goes by that I don’t eat a potato and today’s Monday Bunday features a potato shaped rabbit who goes by the name Molang. Think of it as Korea’s answer to Sanrio’s Hello Kitty, My Melody and Little Twin Stars…only better. Molang is a small and lovable animal. He’s very curious and a big dreamer. Molang loves to have fun and to give kisses. But what he loves most is to eat strawberries. As soon as Molang catches a whiff of this fruit, its cheeks turn a little pinker and its eyes shine a little brighter. Molang loves strawberries but it also likes to eat everything else. He particularly loves traveling everywhere/around the world to discover new flavours and tastes. Then, Molang likes to share all his lucky finds with his friends. Hmmmm…I love strawberries, eating and travel. Oh my gawd. I …

Monday Bunday: Lunch boxes

I’m bringing lunch to work more these days. Sandwiches at the start of the week (with roast meat left over from Sunday), leftovers and a hodgepodge of assembled lunches on other days. If I was busy at work, I would treat myself to a nice lunch out. It was an excuse to get out of the office, see some daylight, go for a walk and sample some delicious local cuisine. If I buy lunch, I usually spend an average of $7NZ which soon adds up. I used to buy lunch most days, but Last week I brought a home made lunch every single day and the last few weeks before, I’ve been buying only once a week. I’m always recycling plastic take-out containers, but if I had an adorable lunch box I would be more enthusiastic about bringing lunch. Here is a round up of a few bunny lunch boxes from around the web. I particularly like the ones wit partitions and multi-storey compartments. Links starting from top: Rectangle black and red, Rectangle purple Box …

Tofu Tuesday: A Piece of Sunshine

In the tradition of Auckland weather, it’s been switching between heavy rain and blue skies like nobody’s business. Here is a picture of Tofu the bunny enjoying the sun. I thought that a green fascinator would be quite dapper and festive. As sunny as it was, the grass was still damp so you can see the tips of his floppy ears are wet through. No doubt his paws were wet too. Tofu doesn’t mind the wet. Is that normal?

Monday Bunday: Bunny iPad covers

Happy Monday everyone. I do rather like my red leather case from Yoobao and I would highly recomend it to anyone looking for leather case, but if you’re looking for something with a distinct bunny flavour, look no further. I’ve searched far and wide for your viewing pleasure with covers ranging from $18 to $500US, there is surely something here to suit any budget. Red Rabbit iPad Sleeve This sleeve by Feruto Bags is sold but you can get one made for you for around $500US. Made from grey german felt and red calf leather. Gorgeous. But at this price, you’ll probably want a cover to protect this cover. Nope. No sir, I don’t approve. I approve of this cover from one of my favourite bunny blogs: Disapproving Rabbits. You can get your own one for $50 from Zazzle.com. Bunny with cupcake This sweet iPad Case by Rupydetequila features an original illusration of bunny and cupcake by Ruth Fitta Schulz. Part with $100US and it is yours from Etsy.com. Silicone Rabbit.
