Tofu wasn’t impressed with our bounty from the weekend.
We are super lucky at our rental property to have a macadamia tree. Over the weekend we collected the dropped nuts, husked them and they’ll dry inside for a few weeks before going in a low oven.
Clearly unimpressed!
But I am impressed! Macademia nuts, yum. So fatty, so good!
There are many foods that I love that have a fatty taste in common. Yum.
So funny you should post this. I saw it on facebook this morning. I took Flatpac to Tylers parents house on the weekend and they had macadamia nuts there too! From their farm. Flatpac only wanted to eat the handmade basket they were in and then hide under the couch when she knew I was onto her!
Tofu loves baskets too. We have these lamp shades made of wicker. They are irresistible. Thankfully the messy design means that any bunny chewed holes are not noticeable.
Probably makes it look original and trendy. Unfortunately this doesn’t work for couches.
Thankfully for whatever reason unknown to me, Tofu isn’t interested in our couch. It’s not that he doesn’t like leather though. He’s eaten leather shoe and handbags before. Maybe the couch just isn’t the right delicious shape.
How cool is that? Macadamias are so expensive in Canada. You are indeed lucky. I can hardly wait to see what incredible delectables you make with them!
I have to be honest Eva, I haven’t done anything with the macadamias. Ever. After I crack them, they go straight into my mouth. I need patience to crack a bunch to do something with. Maybe I’ll have to restrain myself to one for me, one for cooking, one for me, one for cooking.
