Tofu Tuesday: Bok Choy monster

Bok choy is one of Tofu’s favourite vegetables. He always begins at the dark leafy end.

If he gets lots of bok choy, he will only eat the leafy end of each leaf, leaving the lighter stems behind. But if given bok choy sparingly, he will finish the whole thing. Selective eating. People all over the world do it. So now I only give him a couple of leaves at a time. When he finishes leaf and stem, he can have more.

So cute, I used to love watching Dustie bunny gobble down celery like that. Then she would have celery breath. Better than early morning poo breath for sure.

Awesome. I’ve seen it at our farmer’s market. One of these days I’ll remember to do my veggie shopping there. Ironically, I’m currently typing this out while in the big box grocery store. In the produce aisle. 😐

Sonic the dog is just like that! Except not bok choy. If we give him snacks in small quantities, he will make them last by tossing them around and playing with them. If we give him a whole bunch at a time, he will wolf them down… and then ask for more.

Sonic would even hoard sometimes, if he knows he can get more. Our pets are so weird and funny hahaha!

You are a good Mum! 🙂

I answered your query about raw rhubarb, but I’ll copy it here just in case, since I am already on my next post 🙂
Raw rhubarb: It reminds me of a wild grass that as a child I used to forage in Italy and chew, erba brusca, sour grass. Sour but refreshing, though I wouldn’t eat much! A couple of stalk suffice to give the juice a rhubarb zing.

    Ciao

Your bunny is truly adorable! I would love a bunny but don’t think my cats would approve.
    Have a super day.
