Tofu Tuesday: The Aviator

tofu-aviator

I wish Tofu wore safety goggles.

I took Tofu to the vet yesterday because he has another eye infection. Last time he had an eye infection, it got really bad, really fast and he had to get the eye removed. It was heartbreaking, but the best thing for him. Because Tofu is blind, he brushes up against or bumps into things all the time. This time something scratched his cornea. They flushed and checked out the eye but there was no foreign object in there and the vet seems hopeful it will heal.

Please keep Tofu in your thoughts today.

  1. Oh noooo our poor Tofu, hope he gets better real fast. Maybe there is a kind of goggle he could wear. You see all these animals with wheels for legs and stuff, there must be something out there..

    • We were thinking it would need to be a mono-goggle since he only had one eye. Or an eye patch could work. I think he can see light and dark though so a mono-goggle would be preferable to an eye patch.

It’s hard to say how useful light and dark differentiation is for him, but I’d say it would help some.

  2. waaaa…be safe Tofu! Oh and btw music played in my head as soon as I saw Tofu’s picture. Like tun-tunnunutun – like a superhero soundtrack but if someone was attempting to sing it in lieu of instruments. In other words Tofu is awesooome .
