Dougal the fluffy ginger cat lives next door, but spends a lot of time in our front yard (where Tofu the bunny does not hang out).
Dougal is a cowardly lion. At first, he would never let us near him but has since gotten used to us and he now permits patting. Every now and then, Dougal will come into the back yard, but he is sure to give Tofu a very wide berth.

Bunny Eats Design 
I used to have a Dutch rabbit that would chase the cats around the yard, and try to (ahem) hump the German Shepherd’s tail. He was definitely an odd bunny and the cats were wary of him with good reason. 🙂
Ha! What did the German Shepherd do about the amorous bunny? I’ve heard that German Shepherds can be good with bunnies, but so far, Tofu hasn’t had met any dogs that he likes.
I’m not a fan of cats, particularly the outdoor kind. I find it rude and irresponsible of people to let their cats out to do their business in my garden.
Does Tofu stay outside on his own or always with supervision? I was always terrified that some owl or hawk would take Dustie, so I never let her out of my sight!
Cat poos are so stinky! Cats are lucky I haven’t caught them pooping in my yard.
We don’t have owls or hawks here, only pigeons and thrushes and suburban cats are cowards. Tofu happily roams in the garden during the day without supervision. Even with his growing blindness, it’s not an issue. Cats will fight each other, but they seem to be good with Tofu. I suppose he doesn’t play by their rules. Cats around here only chase if something runs from them and is much smaller than them. Tofu is about the same size as a cat and doesn’t play mouse.
That’s very cool, Genie, I know Dustie would have been a little frightful on being on her own; she would take off running down to the end of the yard, and stop every so often to make sure I was right behind her! I know you must have said at one time and I apologize for not taking note, but how old is Tofu?
Tofu is 4 and while we are used to his size, strangers always comment on how large he is. I suspect it is only because they’re used to seeing baby bunnies in pet shops.
I think that cats know that they would come off second best to a bunny. Very cute shot!
